They pack their belongings and escape to Chicago under the cover of darkness.  Their intent was to find their father, hoping that he would take them in.  Unfortunately, things do not go as planned.  Chaotic adventures become commonplace to Anne and Billy as they try to survive on their own.

    Anne witnessed first hand, what love did to her mother and vows to never let a man do that to her.
